Look Who’s Coming to BCHS!
The Writing Initiative is proud to sponsor a conversation with Chiney Owgumike, Stanford grad, WNBA All-Star, and ESPN analyst. She will meet with Central High students on issues of Social Equity on Monday, February 26, 2018.
Owgumike’s visit will feature a Q&A led by members of The Social Equity Committee led by Justus Fitzpatrick, Mia Hinton, Paige Hinton, Isaiah Miller, Zoe Sinclair, and Nigel West.
This is the second in a series of special speakers arranged by Adrian Wojnarowski, NBA analyst at ESPN. In December, Wojnarowski led a writing workshop with Justin Craig, director of ESPN Radio, on the challenging state of journalism in the age of multi-platformed news gathering.
